How I use my knowledge and skills to help:

IFS, Internal Family Systems Therapy

IFS therapy assumes that people have multiple parts, or sub-personalities, that can be in conflict with each other. These parts can include vulnerable parts that hold painful emotions, and protective parts that cope with those emotions.

The goal of IFS therapy is to help people heal from past trauma and correct problematic behaviors, thoughts, and beliefs. This can lead to improved relationships with others and increased feelings of calm, confidence, and compassion

CPT, Cognitive Processing Therapy

I am a CPT-P, a certified provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy, a treatment for CPTSD that takes between 12 – 30 weekly sessions. This method is a scientifically proven and evidence-based approach that helps trauma survivors decrease their trauma symptoms so that they no longer interfere with their daily lives and relationships.

Relational Cultural Therapy

One of the core tenets of RCT is the Central Relational Paradox (CRP). The CRP assumes that we all have a natural drive toward relationships, and in these relationships we long for acceptance. However, we come to believe that there are things about us that are unacceptable or unlovable. Thus, we choose to hide these things; we keep them out of our relationships. In the end, the connections we make with others are not as fulfilling and validating as they otherwise might have been.

Collaborative Couples Therapy

This innovative approach to couples therapy is a non-adversarial therapeutic model that encourages partners to incorporate their conflicts and relational ideals into their relationship. This therapy uses patient-therapist collaboration, supportive therapeutic intervention on behalf of each partner, and challenges each person’s self-negative inner dialogue and patterns to help couples move to a collaborative, connected stance.

Fees:

My standard fee is $150.00 per hour.

I am not an "in-network" provider for any insurance company. My licensure and experience, however, are accepted by all insurance companies that allow out-of-network providers.  This may lead to reduced fees for you even though I am not a "preferred provider" aka "in-network." Please ask your insurance company if this type of reimbursement is possible. Sliding scale fee arrangements may be possible, please ask.
